Open Your Eyes: Staat Yuh Mawnin Right is Belize’s premier morning program. Launched in 2008 with the aim of offering variety to viewers on morning television, OYE sets the tone for every day by featuring live, in-depth interviews, news, entertainment, and lifestyle features with lively interactive programming. Monday through Thursday, the show delivers comprehensive morning television with two dynamic hosts covering current affairs, community stories, and cultural insights that matter to Belizeans, combining serious journalism with engaging entertainment through expert interviews, interactive segments, and real-time social media integration. Friday mornings take on a special energy with “OYE Unfiltered,” with candid conversations, spirited discussions, and opinion-driven content that creates an intimate roundtable atmosphere perfect for transitioning viewers into their weekend.
Over the years, OYE has pioneered special themed shows to highlight important occasions such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Child Stimulation Month, and Women’s Month, demonstrating its commitment to celebrating Belizean culture and values. The show also hosts the annual Summer Fest. In this signature community event, children showcase their talents in a free concert that brings families together to celebrate the start of summer.
